OVERVIEW OF J’ACCUSE!

J’accuse! is a murder mystery game for 3 to 6 players. The goal of the game is to not be the player accused of murder. There is not a winner to the game only the loser who the murder is pinned on.

SETUP

Separate the three types of evidence into their piles: weapons, motive, and opportunity. Shuffle each deck and place them centrally to all players.

Each player will pick their character and have their sheet in front of them. Each player also receives the 4 types of suspicion cards.

The investigation cards are shuffled, and each player receives 3 cards facedown. The remaining are placed off to the side and a discard pile will eventually be made next to it.

The inspector card is given to the first player to cross their arms. The player to the inspector’s left receives a motive card in front of them, the next player to the left receives an opportunity, and the next player receives a weapon.

Evidence

Evidence can be suspected or hard in this game. when it is just suspected it is placed in front of your player card and can be passed. You always want to have no evidence in front of you if possible. It is also possible for evidence to become hard evidence throughout the game and stick to you permanently.

GAMEPLAY

The game starts with the current inspector picking one of their inspection cards to play secretly. It will be placed facedown under their stand. Then, all remaining players will choose one of their suspicion cards to play and will receive all at the same time.

The suspicion cards will either have a majority to pass evidence in a certain direction or accuse. if there is no majority the accuse action is chosen. Next, the inspector reveals their card which will determine which type(s) of evidence are affected.

If moving all the affected suspected evidence is moved in the direction the majority voted for. If accusing, all the suspected evidence of the type(s) is made into hard evidence. Any hard evidence that was moved must now be replaced. This is done by pulling matching evidence types to those made into hard evidence and placing them as in setup.

The players flip their used suspicion card facedown on their character sheet. It cannot be used again until they have used 3 out of the 4 then all cards can be recollected.

After all the above is finalized the investigator token is passed to the left, and the next round starts. 메이저토토사이트

SPECIAL RULES

Each player has three types of evidence they are exonerated from. If ever this type of evidence is attempted to be made hard evidence against you it is instead moved to the bottom of that pile type and new matching evidence is added as in the setup.

Investigation cards are not renewed until all players have played all three of their cards. When this is achieved three more cards are dealt to each player.

If an evidence type deck runs out, no more of that type will go into play. Only the other types will be added.

END OF GAME

The game ends either when a player has at least one of each type of hard evidence against them, or a player has 5 hard pieces of evidence against them. This player loses.
